Fantasy Book Design
In-Class Exercise
For this project, we were tasked with designing a cover for a book of our choice. This was a really exciting project for me, because I knew right away what cover I would design: the best fantasy book ever written, the Name of the Wind by Pat Rothfuss.

The Name of the Wind is a book that at times has an almost fairy-tale, dreamlike feeling, and I wanted to re-create that sense of wonder and whimsy in my cover. I chose to emulate a cut-paper style for my cover,
and used semi-abstract shapes to recreate the landscapes from the book.
